SOP for Setting the Chambermaid’s Trolley

The SOP is given as follows −

ü  Empty the trolley.

ü  Check rapidly for any broken parts.

ü  Clean it by dusting and wiping any stains.

ü  Place the items according to their weight: heaviest items at the bottom and lighter items at the top section of the trolley.

ü  Place the linen for different purpose separately.

ü  Close the lids of cleaner bottles and liquid cans tightly.

ü  Record the numbers and types of the items loaded in the trolley for the rooms.

ü  Collect the room keys.

ü  Take the trolley to the assigned duty floor.

ü  Park it outside the room such that the linen side faces outside and the room entrance is blocked.
